The Government has released a statement on building financial capability in New Zealand to show that everyone getting ahead financially is a priority.
Financial capability is about having the financial knowledge, understanding, confidence and motivation to make good financial decisions.
The Government has said that building financial capability will help us improve the wellbeing of our families and communities, reduce hardship, increase investment and grow the economy.
Government agencies, including the FMA, will be working together on a number of projects, such as research and Money Week.
Building financial capability is a shared responsibility. We all have a part to play.
